My baby girl turned 8! Where does the time go? It seems like only yesterday I was changing her diapers and now she wants a cell phone! Sophia didn’t want to spend the day with her friends. Instead she wanted the two of us to have a “Buddy Day”. It’s where we go shopping all by ourselves. How could I say no to that 
We started the day at the salon where she had tinsel put in her hair…..
Next we went to lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen….
Then we went to Build-A-Bear Workshop at the Ala Moana Mall….
After we bought her brown sugar puppy we went clothes shopping….
Then we went to Starbucks where Sophia had a decaffeinated Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino and I had a White Chocolate Mocha…. 
We finally got home around 7pm, just in time for Sophia to ride her brand new bike before the sun went down….
Once it got dark we headed inside for Birthday cake and Sophia opened her gifts. 
Every year I try to make a cake that fits the occasion. Last year we spent her Birthday on the beach so I made a sandcastle cake. This year she really wanted a new bike so I found this design in Family Fun Magazine. She loved it!
