Being a photographer in Hawaii I totally understand why most of my clients want to have their pictures taken on the beach so whenever I find another beautiful location, I take pictures of one of my girls to give my blog a little variety!

This is why Sophia never smiles in her pictures! She just got braces so her smile will end up being as beautiful as the rest of her.

A few years ago I met Alyssa Turner of AlyssaPix photography. Our daughters were in the same class and soon became best friends. After getting to talk we discovered that we both have a love and passion for photography and before we knew it we developed a friendship of our own. Alyssa is 3 weeks away from giving birth to her 5th beautiful child and when I found out she had never had professional maternity pictures done I insisted I get to be the one to capture this memory for her. I had to twist her arm a little because as most photographers she feels much more comfortable behind the camera then in front of it. She tried to get out of it by saying she wasn’t very photogenic. Obviously she is crazy because she looks so great, you are going to want to go out and get pregnant yourself after seeing these pictures. Here are some of my favorites……

I have been taking so many pictures at the train station it made me want to have some of myself. I had to give my husband a crash course on how to be a fabulous photographer. He’s not quite as good as me, but he did a really good job considering!! Here are some of my favorites….

Paul and Joy sure had their hands full with their one and a half year old son Brian. He didn’t want to have his picture taken, instead he wanted to run around the train station and get into everything he wasn’t supposed to. I think I was more nervous than his parents. We were all chasing him around and every time I got in front of him to take a picture he felt cornered and ran the other way. This first picture says it all…..
